On Friday, the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 were released. Not only did Mridul Agarwal from Jaipur top the exam, he also scored the highest ever IIT-JEE marks. Mridul Agarwal obtained a score of 348 out of 360 and was declared the exam’s winner with a score of 96.66%.

Since 2011, this is the highest score a JEE Advanced student has ever achieved. Mridul Agarwal beat the previous record of 96% set in JEE earlier this year.

On top of that, Mridul ascended to the top of the JEE Main rankings, earning a perfect score of 300 on both the Session 1 and Session 2 examinations.

He is the son of Pradeep Agarwal, a finance director in private industry, and Puja Agarwal, a stay-at-home mom. His younger brother, who is a seventh-grader, is a sophomore in high school.

Kavya Chopra, the top female scorer, is a Delhi native. As a result of her success in JEE Mains, she became the first female candidate to achieve a score of 300 out of a possible 300 points in an engineering entrance exam. Chopra’s new score is higher than her previous one from February, when she achieved a 99.9 percentile.

Results for the JEE Advanced 2021 examination will be released at 10 a.m. on October 15th. In order to provide admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology, this exam was held on (IITs). Candidates who want to be included in the IITs’ common ranking list must score at least 35 percent overall and 10 percent in each subject, according to the JoSAA guidelines.

The minimum subject-wise percentage and the minimum percentage in aggregate marks required for the general-EWS rank list and OBC-NCL rank list are 9 percent and 31.5 percent, respectively, for the OBC-NCL rank list.

There is a minimum of 5% in each subject and a minimum of 17.5 percent in aggregate marks for all other categories.

Graduate programmes at IITs are required to have at least 20 percent female undergraduates by JoSAA guidelines for the academic session 2021-22. NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and some IIITs expect at least 20 percent of their undergraduate programmes to be female by the academic year 2021-22.

Candidate registration through the official portal of the Joint Seat Allocation and Academic Year 2021 (JoSAA 2021) is mandatory in order to obtain seats to be allocated through the Joint Seat Allocation and Academic Year 2021 (JoSAA 2021).
