A record number of people were killed in the hip-hop community in 2021, and the year 2022 isn’t looking much better. Rapper J $tash, who lives in Los Angeles, has been named as a suspect in an apparent murder-suicide, according to reports there. Justin Joseph was identified as the killer of Jeanette Gallegos on Monday (January 3). When he was just 28 years old, he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

A gunshot victim was taken into custody after deputies from the Temple Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of possible domestic violence, according to Deputy Grace Medrano. Two unresponsive victims, a 27-year-old Hispanic woman and a 28-year-old Black man, were found inside the house when deputies arrived. Multiple gunshot wounds were found on the female victim, while a self-inflicted wound was found on the male.”

With Gallegos’ three children still present, the crime was even more bizarre.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found three juveniles, ranging in age from 5 to 11, unharmed, Medrano said. There is a strong possibility that these three were raised by a deceased female victim and that they were her children.

Previously, J $tash had to deal with domestic issues. His ex-girlfriend Danielle Phaeton filed a lawsuit against him in September 2014, claiming he had beaten her severely in the face and body. The charges against him were eventually dropped after he turned himself in in October of that year.
