After submitting your online application (KYC, Aadhar e-Sign, and documents), the activation is typically an automated process handled by IIFL.

  • Timeline: Account activation usually takes about 24 hours after your application is successfully processed and approved.

  • Confirmation: You will receive your login credentials and an account activation status notification via your registered email address, mobile number (SMS), and often WhatsApp.

  • Next Step: Once you receive the credentials, you can log in to the IIFL Markets App or the web platform to set your password/MPIN and begin trading.

2. Reactivating a Dormant/Inactive IIFL Account

If your account hasn’t been used for a long period (usually over 12 or 24 months), the exchange norms may mark it as dormant.

You can usually reactivate a dormant account online through the IIFL platform:

A. Through the IIFL Markets App

  1. Log in to the IIFL Markets App.

  2. Go to the Hamburger Menu (usually three lines).

  3. Tap on your Client code or Profile.

  4. Look for View/edit detail or Personal detail.

  5. Fill in any missing details and ensure all your contact/KYC details are up-to-date.

  6. Submit the FATCA declaration (if prompted).

  7. Log out and Log back in. You may receive an option like ‘Allow consent’ to confirm the reactivation.

B. Through the TTWeb Platform (Website)

  1. Log in to the IIFL trading website (https://markets.iiflcapital.com/home).

  2. Click the dropdown arrow on the top right corner.

  3. Go to Profile > Personal Details.

  4. Verify/update any missing or incorrect profile details.

  5. Select ‘Allow consent and submit’ (if prompted) and submit the FATCA declaration.

C. Processing Time for Dormant Accounts

  • Once you successfully confirm the details, IIFL typically advises that you will be able to place orders after 72 hours (3 business days).

  • For cases requiring extensive KYC updates or form submissions, the process can take 2 to 5 working days.
