The HP Board of School Examinations (HPBOSE) held a press conference today to announce the class 10 results. The outcome was supposed to be announced at 11:30 a.m., but it was postponed owing to a court injunction. On the official website,, students can verify their results. A total of 1,16,954 pupils had their results announced.

Following the Central Board of Secondary Education’s decision, the Himachal Pradesh government decided to cancel the class 10 exams in May 2021. (CBSE). The decision was made in response to an increase of COVID-19 cases. The board has stated that all pupils will be promoted to class 11 in accordance with CBSE guidelines for its students. Students will now be evaluated based on their performance in the first, second, pre-board, and internal assessment tests that will be held during the academic year 2020-21.

This year, the pass rate was reported to be 99.7%. According to the board’s data, out of more than 1.04 lakh students who took the exam last year, 70,571 pupils – or 68.11 percent – passed. 60.79 percent of students passed the exam in 2019.
