An EA account can be linked to a variety of platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Epic Games, Twitch, YouTube, Amazon, and more.
This is typically done through the EA Account Settings page.
To link an account:
- Go to the EA website and sign in to your EA account.
- Navigate to Account Settings and then the Connected Accounts tab.
- Find the platform you want to link and follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, you can often link accounts directly from the platform itself the first time you launch an EA game.
ℹ️ What “EA account linking” means
EA allows you to link your EA account with your platform accounts (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Nintendo, etc.) so your game progress, purchases, and identity sync across them.
You manage these connections via your EA account settings, under a section usually called Connections / Linked Accounts.

✅ What to try if you want to link an account
Go to EA’s website and log in with your EA credentials.
Navigate to Account Settings → Connections / Linked Accounts (or similar).
Find the platform you want to link (e.g. Xbox, PSN, Steam) and select “Link.”
Authenticate the platform (log in to Xbox/PSN/Steam when prompted) and allow EA to connect.
Confirm the linking.
If you can’t find the linking option directly, sometimes launching an EA game on that platform the first time will prompt linking.
⚠️ Important restrictions & cautions
One-time link rule: For many platforms, EA allows only one link of that platform account ever to a given EA account. If you unlink, you might not be able to link a different account of the same type later.
Unlinking may cause loss: Progress, purchases, and entitlements tied to that platform–EA account pair might be lost (or become inaccessible) after unlinking.
If the platform account is already linked to another EA account, you may get errors.
Sometimes, EA support is required to unlink or resolve conflicts (especially if the linked email is inaccessible).
