The URL (https //signin.samsung.com/key/) is part of Samsung’s Remote Sign-In or Passkey system. If you see this link (or a QR code) on your TV/PC screen, do not type the link manually.
You most likely saw this link on a Samsung TV or a computer screen while trying to log in to your Samsung Account. It is not meant to be typed into a browser manually in most cases; it is usually the backend link for a QR Code or a “Sign in with Galaxy Device” prompt.
Here is what you need to do to make it work:
Option 1: You are trying to sign in on a TV or PC
If you see this link (or a QR code) on your TV/PC screen, do not type the link manually. Instead:
Unlock your Samsung Phone.
Open your Camera app (or a QR Code scanner).
Scan the QR code displayed on your TV or computer screen.
A pop-up will appear on your phone asking you to “Allow Sign-In.” Tap it.
Your TV or PC will automatically log in.
Option 2: The link/QR Code isn’t working
If scanning the code does nothing, or if you get an error:
Manual Entry: On the TV/PC, look for a button that says “Sign in with ID/Password” instead of “Sign in with Galaxy Device.” Type your email and password manually.
Same Network: Ensure both your phone and the device you are logging into (TV/PC) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Two-Step Verification: If you are logging in manually, keep your phone nearby. Samsung will text you a 6-digit code or send a notification to your “Samsung Account” settings to verify it’s you.

Option 3: You are stuck in a “Key” loop on your phone
If your phone browser is stuck on a page with this URL:
Close the tab and clear your browser cache.
Go to Settings > Samsung Account on your phone directly, rather than using the browser.
If you are trying to set up a Passkey (fingerprint login), go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Biometrics > Passkeys and set it up there.
