If you still use an Oculus account and you have forgotten your password, you can reset it at https://secure.oculus.com/my/security. If you remember your password and want to change it, you can do so using the Oculus mobile app or PC app.

To change your password using the Oculus mobile app:

1. Open the Oculus mobile app on your device.
2. Tap  Menu in the bottom-right corner, then tap Settings.
3. Tap Account settings, then tap Change Oculus password.
4. Enter your old password, your new password and your new password again to confirm the change.
5. Tap Save to save your new password.

To change your password using the Oculus PC app:

1. Open the Oculus PC app on your computer.
2. Select Settings in the left menu.
3. Under Account, click Password.
4. Enter a new password, then enter your old password to confirm the change.
5. Click Submit.

Profile passcode

You can use this passcode to authenticate certain actions instead of logging in to your Facebook account. Each Facebook account can set up their own password.

To set your account passcode:

1. From Apps, tap Settings.
2. Tap Profiles, then tap your profile.
3. Tap Passcode.
4. Tap next to Use passcode to turn on or off.
5. Confirm your login.
6. Enter your 4-digit passcode.
7. Re-enter your 4-digit passcode.

To change your account passcode:

1. From Apps, tap Settings .
2. Tap Profiles, then tap your profile.
3. Tap Passcode, then tap Change passcode.
4. Enter your current passcode.
5. Enter your new 4-digit passcode.
6. Re-enter your new 4-digit passcode.

Screen lock passcode

You can use this passcode to keep your Meta Portal screen locked when it’s not in use. This passcode will be required to return to Home after your Meta Portal is not in use, but you can still use voice commands to make and receive calls.

While your Meta Portal is locked, you won’t be able to add additional contacts to a call.

To set your Meta Portal passcode:

1. From Apps, tap Settings.
2. Tap the Privacy tab and then tap Screen lock. (If prompted, select who’s making changes and log in with your Facebook account.)
3. Enter the 4 to 12-digit passcode for your device and tap the Tick.
4. Re-enter your 4 to 12-digit passcode and tap the Tick to confirm your passcode.

To change your Meta Portal passcode:

1. From Apps, tap Settings.
2. Tap the Privacy tab and then tap Change passcode.
3. Select who’s making changes and log in with your Facebook account.
4. Enter your old passcode and tap the Tick.
5. Enter your new passcode, re-enter the new passcode, and then tap Tick to confirm your new passcode.
