Imagine Math personalizes learning and engages students in a meaningful exploration of mathematical understanding. An emphasis on academic discourse empowers learners to apply reasoning and critical thinking skills and sets them up for future successes in school and beyond.

To get the best experience in Imagine Math, we recommend the following Best Practices:

  • Dedicated computer time (lab schedule or computer cart schedule)
  • 60-90 minutes of use (cumulative) per week
  • Goal setting – complete and pass 2-3 lessons per week
  • Motivation Plan outlined and explained to students (extra incentives)
  • Expectations outlined, explained to students, and displayed in class
  • Required use and regular review of an Imagine Math Notebook/Journal
  • Headsets for students needing audio assistance
  • Regular review of student data
  • Regular consultation with students regarding individual progress in Imagine Math
  • Encouragement to use Math Help where available in the program

  • Imagine Math System Requirements – To use Imagine Math successfully, your network bandwidth and device hardware must meet the minimum system requirements.

  • Think 30! – As students work through lessons, they earn think points. THINK points are awarded for completing lessons, and additional THINK points are awarded for performing well on the lesson. Students can use their think points to design their avatar, donate to classroom goals, or to donate to charity.

Imagine Math High School Content

In Imagine Math they have content for Algebra 1, Geometry, HS Math 1, and HS Math 2. These offerings equate to what is typical for grades 9 and 10.

We do not have content for Trigonometry (Trig), Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, or Statistics – which are typically the courses for grades 11 and 12. However, we do offer SAT/ACT and Texas TSI pathways. These are great options for students in grades 11 and 12.

Students learn how to use their dashboard to see their current lesson and their next lesson, as well as how many lessons they’ve completed and how many lessons they’ve passed. They can also see the number of THINK Points they’ve earned from answering math questions correctly, and read any messages from their teacher. They can use their THINK Points to customize their avatar, contribute to classroom goals, or donate to qualified charities chosen by Imagine Learning.

Students also learn how to check the Leaderboard to see how they are ranked. Students are ranked by the number of THINK Points they’ve earned and the number of lessons they’ve passed. They can use their rank to compete in Imagine Math contests. Students can also personalize their dashboard by customizing their background image. To log out of Imagine Math, students learn how to hover over the drop-down menu next to their avatar and click Sign Out.
