This portal gcas.gujgov.edu.in serves as the Gujarat State Government’s Common Admission portal encompassing all the disciplines such as arts, commerce, science, rural studies, and others under a single umbrella.

If you’re looking to register for Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS), here’s how you can do it:

  1. Visit the GCAS Website: Go to the GCAS registration portal.
  2. Fill in Your Details:
    • Click on the “Apply Now” option or use the online registration link provided on the website.
    • Fill in your personal information, including your mobile number and email address.
    • Once you’ve submitted the required details, you’ll receive a username and password via email and SMS.
  3. Choose Your Course: GCAS offers a wide range of courses, including Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in various disciplines.

The registration process will start one week after the declaration of the 12th board results. The student needs to register and complete the process within 15 days.

Can I apply for more than one University in a single application form?

Yes, a student may opt for as many Universities/ Colleges, Streams, and Courses as they wish for in a single application form with a one-time fee option.

Once the student submits the application form, the same application form will be forwarded to all the shortlisted Universities/ Colleges. The filled-out application form will automatically be sent over to the registered email ID of the student.

The student needs to upload the scanned copy of the original documents on the website while filling out the application form in the requested format. After receiving an admission offer from any University/ College, the student will be required to submit the original documents at the University for offline verification.

What would happen in case the student’s application form got rejected/cancelled from all the applied Universities/ Colleges?

In case of rejection/ cancellation of the application from the shortlisted Universities/ Colleges, the student will get two more application rounds for shortlisting other Universities/ Colleges. It is recommended to select only those Universities/ Colleges which were not selected earlier.

Do I need to re-register myself for logging into the system for the second time?

Once registered, the student may log into the website as many times as required with the User ID and Password provided to them through their respective email ID/ SMS post-registration. The student must secure their User ID and Password.

Is it necessary for a student to register at GCAS?

Yes. All Government Universities, Higher Education Institutes, Government Colleges, Grant-In-Aid Colleges, and SFIs affiliated with Public Universities across the State of Gujarat will shortlist the students through the GCAS portal only. Students who have applied for admission into any stream of Higher Education in any of the above-mentioned academic institutions will receive admission offers only via GCAS.

What documents need to be uploaded while registering at GCAS?

There are separate sets of documents required for admission into different levels of courses. For Example: For Undergraduate Courses, the student would be required to submit the marksheet of 12th Standard along with other relevant documents. Detailed Information is attached with each Course description.

 What are the steps to be taken after receiving the merit list email from a University/ College?

Once a student has received the merit list email from the relevant University/ College, it is expected that the student contact via email and visit the concerned University/ College.
