To enable 2FA on Fortnite PS4, Go to the ACCOUNT page. Click the PASSWORD & SECURITY tab. Under the ‘TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION’ header, you will see the available 2FA options.

How do I enable 2FA?

1. Go to the ACCOUNT page.

2. Click the PASSWORD & SECURITY tab.

3. Under the ‘TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION’ header, you will see the available 2FA options:

• • Two-factor Authenticator App: Use an Authenticator App as your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). When you sign in, you’ll be required to use the security code provided by your Authenticator App.
    If you opt to use an authenticator app for 2FA, these third-party common authenticator apps can be found in your mobile device app store:
    • Google Authenticator
    • LastPass Authenticator
    • Microsoft Authenticator
    • Authy
  • Email For Two-Factor Authentication: Use a security code sent to your email address as your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). The security code will be sent to the address associated with your Epic Games account. You’ll need to use it in when you sign in.
  • SMS Code For Two-Factor Authentication: Use your phone as your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). When you sign in, you’ll be required to use the security code we send you via SMS message.

4. Click “SET UP” to enable your preferred 2FA method.

1. 1. After you select your authentication method, you should receive a code from Epic Games for email and SMS, and the App should generate a code for you
   2. Input the code, and you should see a success message on the website (example below is for email).

Please note that if you choose more than (1) authentication method, you will want to click on the three dots (…) on your preferred method of contact and choose the “Make my primary 2FA method”.

How to set up 2SV online and record backup codes

When you set up 2SV, you can receive verification codes either via SMS, or by using an authenticator app.

1) Sign in to Account Management and select Security.

2) Next to 2-step Verification Status, select Edit.

3) Select a verification method: Authenticator App or Text Message.

4) Enter your mobile number or scan the QR code with the authenticator app.

5) If the QR code fails, copy and paste the alphanumeric code on your app.

6) Enter the verification code you receive via SMS or app and select Activate.

7) Record your Backup Codes.

PS5 console: Set up 2SV

• Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Security > 2-Step Verification.

• Select a verification method: Authenticator App or Text Message.

• Enter your mobile number or scan the QR code with the authenticator app.

• If the QR code fails, enter the alphanumeric code on your app.

• Enter the verification code you receive via SMS or app and select Activate.
