You cannot apply right now because the application link for KCET 2026 is scheduled to activate on January 17, 2026. Go to the KEA Website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/kahvs and select “UGCET-2026 Online Application”.

Since you are early (today is Jan 7), use this time to gather your documents so you can apply immediately when the link opens.

1. Important Dates

  • Application Starts: January 17, 2026

  • Exam Dates: April 23 & 24, 2026

2. How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)

Once the link is active on [suspicious link removed], follow these steps:

Phase 1: Registration

  1. Go to the KEA Website and select “UGCET-2026 Online Application”.

  2. Click on “New User? Register Here”.

  3. For Karnataka Students: Enter your SSLC Registration Number. The system usually fetches your Name and DOB automatically.

  4. For Non-Karnataka Students: You will manually enter your details.

  5. Create a User ID and Password. Write these down immediately.

Phase 2: Filling the Form

  1. Log in with your new User ID and Password.

  2. Fill in the “Student Information” (Caste, Income, Kannada Medium, Rural claims, etc.).

  3. Enter your “Study Details” (Schooling history in Karnataka).

Phase 3: Upload Documents

  • You must upload scanned copies of the following (JPEGs, usually under 40KB):
    • Photograph (Passport size)

    • Signature (Candidate’s)

    • Left Hand Thumb Impression

    • Parent’s Signature

Phase 4: Payment

  1. Pay the application fee online (UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card).

    • GM/2A/2B/3A/3B: Approx ₹500

    • SC/ST/Cat-1: Approx ₹250

  2. Print the final application form.

3. What to Get Ready Now (Before Jan 17)

Do not wait until the last minute for these certificates, as they take time to issue:

  • SSLC / 10th Marks Card (for the Reg Number).

  • Revenue Certificates: If you are claiming a seat under 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, SC, ST, or Cat-1, you need a valid Caste/Income certificate with an RD Number (Revenue Department Number).

  • Study Certificate: You will eventually need a certificate showing you studied in Karnataka for 7 years, signed by your BEO (Block Education Officer).
