How To Logout of Netflix on Roku : Sign Out of the Netflix Account on your Device

Netflix is available on select Roku models. Netflix streaming features on supported devices include:

Navigation

On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category (such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows) that we show you based on what you’ve watched.

Set Up Netflix

To watch Netflix TV shows and movies on your Roku, first create a Roku account. Once the account is created, follow the steps for your Roku below.

Connect from Home screen

From the main Home screen, navigate to Home and select Netflix.

  1. If Netflix is missing:
    • Navigate to Channel Store, then Movies & TV.
    • Select Netflix, then Add Channel, then go to channel.
      • For more help, visit Roku support .
  2. Select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

Your Roku is now connected to your Netflix account.

Connect from your remote

  1. Press the Netflix button on your remote.
  2. Once in the Netflix app, select Sign In.
  3. Enter your Netflix email address and password and select Continue.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

How To Logout of Netflix on Roku :

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

Roku 1

  1. Press the Home button to navigate to the Roku Home Menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Netflix Settings.
  4. Select Deactivate this player from my Netflix account.
  5. Select Yes. The device is now deactivated.

If you need to reactivate your Roku player, select Netflix from the home screen, then follow the on-screen prompts.

Roku 2 (HD, XD, or XS) and Roku LT

  1. Press the Home button to navigate to the Roku Home Menu.
  2. Highlight the Netflix app and press the star key on your remote.
  3. Select Remove channel.
  4. Once you confirm by selecting Remove channel again, the device will be deactivated.
    • Deactivating the Roku will remove the Netflix channel from the main menu. To restore it, select Streaming Channels > Movies & TV > Netflix.

Sign out of Netflix

  1. Begin from the Netflix Home screen.
  2. To open the menu, navigate left and select Get Help.
    • If you don’t see Get Help, navigate up and select Settings or the Settings icon .
  3. Select Sign out.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.

If you don’t see Get Help, Settings, or the Settings icon:

  1. From within the Netflix app, use the arrows on your remote to enter the following sequence:
    Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
  2. Select Sign outStart OverDeactivate, or Reset.

Netflix isn’t working

If Netflix isn’t working, there are a few possible causes, including:

  • A network connection issue
  • An issue with your device
  • An issue with your Netflix app or account

To get back to watching:

  • If you see an error code or message on your screen, enter the code into the search bar below to get troubleshooting steps.
  • If you don’t see an error code or message, describe the problem in the search bar. Example issues include seeing a black screen, or being unable to sign in.
  • If you still can’t watch, see if Netflix has a service outage.
