How To Connect Apple TV To Wi-Fi Without Remote

Here are several ways you can connect your Apple TV to Wi-Fi without a remote:

1. Use the Remote App on your iOS Device:

  • If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can use the built-in Remote app to control your Apple TV.
  • Open Control Center on your iOS device and tap the Remote icon.
  • Select your Apple TV from the list.
  • Use the on-screen remote to navigate to Settings > Network, and connect to your Wi-Fi network.

2. Use a Bluetooth Keyboard:

  • If you have a Bluetooth keyboard, you can pair it with your Apple TV.
  • Make sure your keyboard is in pairing mode.
  • On your Apple TV, go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth.
  • Select your keyboard from the list of available devices.
  • Use the keyboard to navigate to Settings > Network, and connect to your Wi-Fi network.

3. Use an Ethernet Cable:

  • If you have access to an Ethernet cable, you can connect your Apple TV directly to your router.
  • This will bypass the need for Wi-Fi altogether.
  • Your Apple TV should automatically detect the Ethernet connection and switch to it.

4. Third-Party Remote Apps:

  • There are several third-party remote apps available on the App Store that you can use to control your Apple TV.
  • Some popular options include CiderTV and AnyMote.
  • Download and install one of these apps on your iOS or Android device.
  • Follow the app’s instructions to connect to your Apple TV.
  • Use the app to navigate to Settings > Network, and connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Important Note:

If your Apple TV is completely new and has never been set up before, you’ll need a physical remote or the Remote app on an iOS device to complete the initial setup process.
