You may activate your credit card via Maybank2u website by following these steps: Log in via www.maybank2u.com.my. Go to Settings > CARDS > Manage Debit Cards > Activate

The new Maybank Debit Card will be delivered within nine (9) working days to your address within Malaysia and thirty (30) working days for overseas, from the date of application.

How do I activate my Debit Card?

The activation can be performed via the following channels:

How do I register for a new Maybank2u account?

If you’re already a Maybank customer but have not registered for Maybank2u, follow these steps below:

1) Go to www.maybank2u.com.my.

2) Click on ‘Register Now’ on the top right corner.

3) Key in your Card No and PIN. The PIN is your 6-digit ATM/Debit/Credit Card Personal Identification Number (PIN). Tick on the Terms & Conditions and click ‘Continue’.

4) Create your Maybank2u username and password, then key in your email. Key in the TAC number sent to your registered phone and click ‘Confirm’.

5) Set up your Security Image, Phrases and Questions. These are important to help keep your account secure.

6) Click ‘Done’ once you’ve completed the registration. You’ll be redirected to the Maybank2u homepage where you can log in to your new account.

For online purchase, you are required to set your Purchase Limit (refer to Q11) and activate Online Transaction via the steps below.

Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.

Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.

Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Debit Card E-Commerce Activation.

Step 4: Click Activate to complete.

What do I need to do in order to make overseas purchase?

For overseas purchase, you are required to set your Purchase Limit (refer to Q11) and activate Overseas Activation via the steps below.

Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.

Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.

Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Overseas Debit Card Activation.

Step 4: Click Disable and set your preferred date.

Step 5: Request for SMS TAC and click Confirm to complete.

What security features does the Maybank Visa Debit Card possess?

• Contactless Transaction: Allows Maybank Visa Debit Card holder to pay for goods and services with RFID Technology (Radio-Frequency Identification) or NFC (Near-field communication) for making secure payments.

• Smart chip: The Maybank Visa Debit Card uses the latest smart chip technology, thus ensuring your card is more secured. • Authorization required: You must sign the amount to approve payment.

• Preset Purchase limit: You can set a flexible spending limit for better control of your card usage. You can deactivate, request lower or increase the limit at your home branch.

• One-Time Password (OTP) generated will be sent to your mobile phone for every online transaction at 3D secured merchants.

What should I do to get OTP for my online transaction if I am abroad or if my phone cannot receive OTP?
