What’s New in Chapter 7 Season 2?
Since this is the v40.00 update, the file size will be quite large. You can start downloading the patch now so you’re ready the moment servers go live.
The Theme: “Showdown” – featuring a massive rivalry between The Foundation and The Ice King.
Map Changes: A new POI called Frigid Fortress has replaced Clawsy Lodge.
New Mechanics: Introduction of Skyzips (a new movement tool) and a Rivalry System that gives in-match buffs when targeting specific enemies.
Crossovers: Rumors and leaks suggest collaborations with Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny)and Overwatch.
Troubleshooting Tip
If the servers show as “Online” but you are stuck in a queue, do not exit the queue. During major season launches, Epic uses a waiting room system to prevent the login servers from crashing. If you leave, you’ll be sent to the back of the line.
