Most SIM activations take a few minutes. But it can take a bit longer sometimes. Even up to 24 hours in some situations.
There’s a 13 digit code on the SIM itself that you can use instead. Pop over to giffgaff.com/activate for more instructions.
Giffgaff Activate SIM: How to Activate your giffgaff SIM
1. Activate your giffgaff SIM
Go to www.giffgaff.com/activate or click on the following button:
2. Activation code
Enter the 6-character activation code printed on the SIM card.
3. User registration
Enter your email and choose a username and password to sign up as a user.
4. Monthly plan selection
Select the monthly plan that best suits your needs. You can cancel or change it every month. To obtain the £5 extra credit, you must select a monthly plan equal or greater to £10.
5. Payment details
Enter the bank card number, the name on card, the expiration date and the security code to make the payment. It is possible that your bank may ask you for a security password or PIN to confirm the payment.
6. Confirmation
Your giffgaff SIM card will be activated immediately and will be ready to use once you see this message.
7. Phone number
Go to my giffgaff to see your phone and check that your monthly plan is active (My goodybags) and that we have paid in the £5 extra credit (My Balance).
8. APN Settings
In case the mobile data connection does not work, you will have to configure it manually.
