Helldivers 2 How to Activate Portable Hellbomb | Use Backpack Function

To activate the B-100 Portable Hellbomb (added in the Servants of Freedom Warbond), you use the “Backpack Function” button.

Unlike the standard stationary Hellbomb, you don’t need to punch in a code on a terminal—you arm it while it’s still on your back.

🎮 How to Use the Portable Hellbomb

1️⃣ Equip the Portable Hellbomb

Before you can activate it:

1. Open your Loadout (before a mission).

2. Set the Portable Hellbomb in your Stratagem Slot (shoulder gear/throwables).

3. Make sure you have at least one in your inventory.

How to Use It Safely

1. Arm it: Use the button above. You will hear a loud alarm, and a 10-second countdown begins.

2. Drop it (Crucial): Hold the “Drop” button to open your inventory wheel and select the backpack to drop it on the ground.

   • PC: Hold X

   • Console: Hold Down on the D-Pad

3. Run: The blast radius is approximately 25 meters. You have 10 seconds to clear the area before it levels everything in its path.

Key Tips

• Team Activation: A teammate can also activate the bomb on your back by walking up to you and interacting with it (press E on PC or X on PS/Xbox).

• No “Off” Switch: Once the countdown starts, it cannot be canceled or stopped. If you don’t drop it, you are going down with the ship for Super Earth.

• Strategic Use: It is perfect for destroying Stratagem Jammers, Detector Towers, or massive clusters of heavy enemies like Factory Striders.
