We want to make sure that your children have access to educational resources even if their schools are closed due to COVID-19. During these trying times, it’s important that parents and families know how to use Freckle to keep their children interested in schoolwork.
Using Freckle, students can work on their math and language arts skills at their own pace. In order to provide each student with an appropriate challenge regardless of whether they are working at or above grade level, Freckle constantly adapts to the individual skills of each student.
Freckle can be accessed by students at home using an iPad or computer for free.

Freckle is already being used in many schools and classrooms. A Freckle student account already exists for your child’s use at school, so you don’t need to create a new one on their behalf. Ask your child’s teacher if Freckle is already being used in the classroom.
By visiting student.freckle.com or downloading the iPad app from the App Store, students can access Freckle. Students can access the system by entering their user name and a class code that they can obtain from their teacher.
When schools are closed, your child’s teacher may use Freckle in a variety of ways, including assigning practise or instructing students to practice independently in Freckle, depending on the level of instruction provided by your school.

It is possible that your child’s teacher will provide you with a list of assignments that they expect you to complete. If not, you can help your child decide what to practise by scrolling down in this guide and viewing the various activities that they can access on their own in Freckle.
To get the most out of Freckle, students take a pre-test to figure out where they should begin. Each of these tests has a maximum of 12 questions. You can also check out the teacher dashboard if you’d like. Freckle’s free version offers a plethora of educational and entertaining features, such as social studies and science activities.
As a result, if you want to work on social studies or science projects with your child, you will have to log in as a teacher to access articles, videos, and other resources.
As a parent or guardian, please keep in mind that Freckle was originally designed for teachers, and some features in the teacher dashboard may not be of much use to you. Simply have your student log in and practise independently if you’re unsure.
