The official Fortnite servers are currently ONLINE, but a major scheduled maintenance is happening later today. It appears you might be mixing up the current chapter.

If You Are Playing on a “Chapter 5” Private Server (EZFN)
If you specifically meant “Chapter 5” because you are playing on a private server (like EZFN on iOS/PC):
Status: Private servers are currently Operational.
Note: Private servers typically do not go down during official Epic Games maintenance, but they may experience login queues if players flood them while the official game is offline later today.
