Cards

The my cards screen allows you to view all details related to your benefit debit card(s); you may also access the four-digit PIN associated with your card on , the my cards screen displays the cardholder, last four digits of the card number, the card status, and whether the card is associated with a dependent. Tap any individual card on the screen to access the card details

• View PIN

If you tap the view PIN button, an image of the four-digit PIN associated with the selected card displays. You can use this PIN when a card transaction is processed as a debit at the point-of-sale (instead of as a credit, with a signature).

• Mark as lost/stolen

If your card has been lost or stolen, notify your plan administrator by tapping the lost/stolen button from the my cards details screen. You can choose whether you would like to have a new card issued. If your card is marked as lost/stolen, the card status changes accordingly on the my cards main screen.this screen. Additionally, you can use this section of the app to mark a card lost/stolen or request a new card.

2. Enter the 16 digit card number and expiration date of your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card.

3. Enter your Date of Birth and Last Name provided to your health plan during enrollment.

4. Finally Click on the Activate Card Button.

5. If you need assistance please Call 866-413-2582 (TTY: 711)

You will automatically receive two debit cards, both in your name. Your spouse or dependent should sign the back of the card prior to using the card. Additional or replacement cards can be requested by sending an email to mb***@me*****.com.

Please provide your name, address, date of birth, phone number, and alternate member number. You also may contact our Customer Service Department at the number shown on your health plan ID card.

The first two cards are free. There is a $5.00 fee for each additional or replacement card, which will be debited from your flex account.

Once you sign up for the program and make your election during your employer’s enrollment process, you don’t need to take any further action. Your employer will notify MedCost of any new members to the flexible spending program who need a flex debit card. Once we are notified, we will order cards for the new members, based on the enrollment information received from the employer. You should automatically receive your flex debit card in the mail around the beginning of your plan year, but the timing of receipt is dependent on the date we receive your enrollment information.

Additional or replacement cards can be requested by sending an email to mb***@me*****.com. Please provide your name, address, date of birth, phone number, and alternate member number. What can I use my debit card for?

A: You can use your debit card at the doctor’s office, pharmacy, and hospital for eligible health care expenses, such as co-pays, deductibles, certain over-the-counter drugs, and other out-of-pocket expenses. Eligible health care expenses are based on Section 213 (d) of the IRS Code. The IRS defines eligible expenses as “amounts paid for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, and for treatments affecting any part or function of the body.” The IRS provides guidance on eligible covered expenses for flexible spending accounts at www.irs.gov.

        • I agree with everyone else. Ordering products is a joke with this new (no having pictures in it) book. I’ve been waiting a wk for my order also BUT,i recently found out from others that you can go to walmart & almost pick out any brand of what the item is. They claim it’s easier to go & pick out your own stuff. I’ve seen them return with their items. I’m going to try it too.

          • I can’t use my card in store. Only online and it took about a week to receive my package. There’s no place to check on shipments or even to cancel. I like my old benefits card. It was so easy to use and I knew what was eligible or not.

      • I cant figure this Nation Benefits OTC. You try to call you cant get through or your on the phone for over 30 min, you cant send an email. So lastnight i tried calling at 11:30 pm and the wait was an hour and 9 min. On the phone it says call before 9:00am or after 5:00pm those are the best times and ive done that too and its still a long wait or you get disconnected.Placing an order is a joke its suppose to be 2day delivery I waited 13 days but they did add my 2nd order to it(6days) and stuff is still missing. Anthem needs to go back to Walmart i never had a problem with them. Also I was told for groceries only frozen foods like TV dinners, pantry foods, veggies and fruit. No bakery, snacks, meats, like TV dinners are good for us seniors NOT!!

        Plus only phone service they accept is AT&T not my company. Only grocery store or pharmacy is Walmart or 30 miles away. And when I finally got my card on January 26th they had computer problems so I lost the whole benefits for January. And by the way if you didn’t know the benefit month restarts on the 29th not the 31st or first.
        The prices of the online store are ridiculous. I wonder if I can change companies for Medicare Advantage or do I have to wait out the year, since I technically have already used some benefits?
        Blue Cross Blue Shield is such an old company I figured I could trust them, wrong!

    • DO NOT USE THIS SITE. IT CHARGED MY CARD $39.99 plus another charge of $2.99. It stated card would not be charged and I unchecked the box that for the $2.99 charge. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE A CREDIT CARD # TO GET OR ACTIVATE THE FLEXOTC CARD. THIS SITE IS A SCAM AND A FRAUD.ive notified my bank, got back the $39.99 but still fighting the $2.99 charge.

    • Its time for a class actuon lawsuit. You’re told different information by every person you talk with. Bo one is trained properly. If the employees don’t know how the program works, how do they expect the client to understand it. The embarrassment and abxiety this card has caused me in public at the register is demoralizing.   2. Having a horrible time finding products. Losing Walmart for purchasing OTC products is a huge loss!! I can’t find any of the support supplements I normally use and really upset about this. The few things that I could find were more expensive and there was so little to chose from. This isn’t the way the this new benefit was explained last September. Wish I’d have changed my plan. What about the healthy groceries benefit?.. Where can I even find that??? Where are the other new benefits for 2023 that were mentioned in the online webinar last September? I can’t find any of that. Nothing here is user friendly either. Tried to call the number provided to speak with a rep….wait time was 31 minutes. I’ve already spent hours trying to navigate the site and only found 1 product I can use. VERY DISSATISFIED with 2023 changes and the lack of clarity to use my benefits.

    • 100% agree. Misrepresentation of coverage is supposed to be illegal, yet here we are. I’m disabled and going to Walmart is a completely insane expectation… online availability is basically useless. They need to include Kroger and other retailers like other Medicare providers.

    • So many issues with this insurance this year! And today I was blessed with a phone call wanting to know if I had heard about the new food card for seniors.. Long story short next month I start with a new insurance Humana and a new benefits card that I can use just like a debit card to buy OTC, food or pay on my rent or utilities!!     • My mom has ANTHEM and used to place orders by phone. Now we can’t even get the damn card they sent to activate. It keeps saying “wrong information”.
      I get more money from Social Security and still get more on my United Healthcare OTC than she does. I get $230 per month and can use it towards OTC products (even Walmart), as well as paying some of my bills.

      • When you activate the card DO NOT USE THE FIRST 3 LETTERS AND/ OR NUMBERS ON YOUR MEMBER ID. It took me awhile to figure that out

I tried to register as per instructions after activating my card, but there was no final response from this site Nations Benefits ) as to weather the registration was completed successfully.         • I feel like everyone else who has commented here. I do not know what health insurance plan you have but I came across a way to get to their site upon longing into my health plan. Now this is my bcbs hmo d snp plan but at the top left where it says medical click on it and underneath this it will have different categories one of which is over the counter click on that it will the first time come up and look like their log in page go back and see where it says mangage benefits on the middle right click again I know its crazy but it will take you to a page where it shows how much you have on the card and you can shop their over the counter and if you type in the search their healthy food which is can soup for 3-4 dollars cheaper in the store. I bought some tea bages and other items. They do not have the software in yet at walmart and possibly other stores to scan and accept the cards yet. Needed someone in charge to check this was going to work out instead causing so much turmoil. I hope this helps.V. Keener

    • They took my Healthy Groceries Benefits to pay for a heating pad and back brace instead of taking it off my over the counter Benefits! How is that considered Groceries?!! United Healthcare here I come!!!!

  8. System would not let me set up my account. Even though it activated my card. Wait time was hour and a half on a Saturday to talk to a rep. So far, not impressed with this new company handling the OTC products. Please go back to Walmart with a colorful brochure that shows pictures of the items we can buy. This black and white book is not very user friendly.

    • Right , made an online purchase on January 9th , still have yet to receive it weeks later. Not pleased at all , with walmart it was so much easier and you literally got your order the next day or 2 sometimes the same day depending on what it was , this new card is not it , please bring back walmart.com for the elderly , if it wasn’t for me helping my mother who has dementia she’d be screwed and I hate this

I am very dissatisfied with this otc account this year. My incontinence products is twice a much & only 1/3 of the amount (was getting 18 in 3 bags at $22.62. Now you get 1 bag of 18 for $15, so that is $45 for 3 bags now. Also I was getting wash clothes (48 in a pack, 3 packs for $6.97, now $5.50 each). In the store the 3 packs are $7.72, go figure. Don’t get me started about the black & white book.

Walmart on Cortez Rd.in Bradenton does not always except your card and it doesn’t let you know till they try to swipe your card and there is a line of people behind you, at this time your too embarrassed to give it all back and walk out. The service desk says that I am not the only one and they are having issues with you. Now what?

Why did they change to this company? I filed a grievance with anthem and was told they would get in touch me, when in the next lifetime. The products that we are now “allowed” to purchase are so much more expensive than going through Walmart. Oh wait I could use my card at Walmart if I go in the store. Well I’m disabled so that is not even convenient for me to do. Can’t get curbside can’t get anything unless you go into the store. This is just so frustrating that you can’t navigate your way through to even open your portal to find out how much you have left on your benefits after ordering from their expensive book items. They are very limited on what you can purchase. I am not happy whatsoever with this part of my health plan. Had I known that Amerigroup was going to change I wouldn’t have gone with Amerigroup. And when I called in to try to get some help Live help over in 2 hour waiting hold. Not to mention the hours that I’ve tried putting in orders for the crap that they have. Yes I’m very frustrated

    • You have to use their catalog products. They are expensive. They are very limited with what products you can buy. However “they say” that you can use the card at Walmart ONLY if you go inside. No more online or curbside orders allowed.

    • No don’t go there! I was with Humana for about 11 years and only found out about and received benefits 2022!
      Plus they denied both hospitalizations I had saying not medically necessary, 1 I had a heart attack and second time I had a blood clot go to my lungs… I guess you have to dye to have them consider it medically necessary?

    I was able to activate the prepaid card; but NOT able to register/create an online account.
    It says Member ID invalid. I tried several times. I’ve been calling but been on hold for 35 minutes.

I have tried to login to NationBenefits where I registered and now it appears that my member ID is not recognized. I called and the waiting time is more than 1 hour. The card is useless, a benefit that we cannot use

  39. I agree except that the negative responses listed are much worse than anyone could imagine. Poor website – – poor selection – – extremely high prices – – very long wait time if you try to contact them – – why would anyone want to go back to Anthem next year? I know most of our neighbors and other people currently with them are planning to go with another company next year and we will be right there with them!

  44. I’m looking for the list of grocery stores that take the card. On the phone call with Anthem they said there are hundreds of grocery stores listed on the app. But there is no list on the app. I called and they gave me 4 places, none of which are near me. So they said to order online. I can’t order meat online! I want to look it over and make sure it’s something I want to take home. Tried using my card where I’ve always used it for groceries, but no! won’t take it! Very disappointing! It was great before.

  45. My husband went to giant eagle and marcs…..do not take the card why?
    I used the OTC walmart card last year at Walmart.com and it worked great.
    ordered and got delivered to my front door. A blessing.
    Anthem needs to fix this NOW…people need to use cards for FOOD…OK.
    fix this now or i will call tv news stattion to expose this lousy card.

  47. They need to shut this website down!!! I have been trying to get on to my Benefits.NationsBenefits.com for three days now!!!! I can’t get on it!! And calling is a joke it tells you to call before 9 am or after 5pm. I tried at 8 – 9 – and 10:30 pm. And get the same recording I got earlier in the day!!! This is BS!!! Go back to Walmart!!!!

If you actually call the number on the card, you will get better help than going to “FLEXOTC.com” Just ask them to help you sign up, give you a temporary password and get your account activated, then when you sign in, “forget” your password and reset with a new password for security’s sake. Use MyBenefits.NationsBenefits.com when the agent walks you through the setup. BE AWARE!! ANOTHER COMPANY IS USING THE SAME DOMAIN NAME WITH A DIFFERENT EXTENSION (/viva). Now my benefits are working great. Also, for those of you that want a color catalog with big pictures of the products, DON’T download their catalog, just go into the products page and all the products are right there with big color photos. I do have to say, these benefits DO NOT really offer great savings on products or healthy groceries, but if you look at it from the point of view that these are benefits that are not costing you out of pocket, at least for me, I can live with that. Also, you can’t get EQUATE products, which is sort of a bummer, I suspect Walmart was really losing money on that contract. And some of the available products are what I used to buy at the 99 cent store but in this day and time, I doubt that the dollar stores carry the products any longer!! Happy shopping!!

  50. This is bullshit and the company is crapy customer service doesn’t know nothing. I’m trying to pay the balence for my glasses at walmart and they informed me that their having nothing but trouble whith this stupid flex account crap. When I called customer service I told them to connect me with IT, the said my card had been charged $500.00. Now I’m sorry I changed companys. Crap Crap Crap…

    • My local Walmart said they didn’t take Anthem. Wondering what’s up? For eye glasses oh and bananas and milk guess not healthy enough?
      A class action suit is not a bad idea. They won’t listen to us one by one but one million claims might get their attention.
      I just can’t believe how blatantly they lied about benefits we can’t get.

  51. I was using my healthy groceries card at my local Jewel. It was great! Could buy meats on sale for great price, fresh veggies on sale regularly. We eat healthy – Meat, fresh veggies, salad, etc. No meat on this site, fresh veggies are about 10x the price of the grocery store. Same with the OTC – quite a bit more expensive! It all sounded good, but it’s pretty much useless.

  54. I agree with you all. When you go to Kroger or Walmart and I use what is suppose to my grocery card they tell me in the checkout that my card is not covering all my groceries. I try ordering online and have not gotten my order yet,and this was in January 2023

    I did not like this change at all.

  55. This new program is TERRIBLE! put an order in January 17,2023 and still have not received products. I think from all the bad reviews, everyone is upset with this new benefit program

  56. My concern is with the Healthy Grocery program. I would like to know if the only foods one can get are the ones on the website page. I don’t eat(some of the things offered and there are no meats or a variety of vegetables. Is there a catalog to order from or how do you choose other foods; or can you get other foods?
