What to Expect
Teams: 42 nations have qualified. The remaining 6 spots (4 European playoffs, 2 inter-confederation playoffs) will be decided in March 2026 but will be represented as placeholders in the draw today.
Format: The 48 qualified teams will be drawn into 12 groups of 4 teams.
Hosts: Canada, Mexico, and the USA are automatically placed in Pot 1 and pre-assigned to groups (Mexico in Group A, Canada in Group B, USA in Group D).
