If you received a FedEx Ground scam text message, you’re not alone—this is a common phishing scam designed to trick you into clicking a malicious link or giving away personal information.
🚨 What the Scam Looks Like
The text usually says something like:
“Your FedEx package is on hold. Click here to schedule a delivery…”
“FedEx: You missed a delivery. Reschedule at [suspicious link]”
“FedEx Ground tracking update: Your package requires action…”
The link often mimics a FedEx website (e.g., fedex-support.com, fedex.delivery-notice.com, etc.) but is not legit.
✅ What to Do Immediately
1. Do NOT click the link
These links may:
Install malware
Steal your personal or payment info
Trick you into entering FedEx account login or payment info
2. Delete the message
Do not reply, even with “STOP”
That confirms your number is active and may result in more spam
3. Report the scam
Forward the message to 7726 (SPAM) — works with most U.S. carriers
Report to FedEx:
Email the message or screenshot to: abuse@fedex.com
You can also report to:
4. Check your actual packages (if you’re expecting any)
Only track via the official FedEx site:
https://www.fedex.comDo NOT search the tracking number in Google—go directly to the FedEx website.
