Epic Games Discord Nitro How to Activate

Phase 1: Claim the Offer on Epic Games

Open the Store: Go to the Epic Games Store website or open the Launcher on your PC.
Locate the Offer: Search for “Discord Nitro” in the store. You should see a free add-on page for “Discord Nitro – Free Offer.”
Checkout: Click “Get” to “purchase” it for $0.00.
Wait for the Email: Epic Games will send a redemption link to the email address linked to your Epic account.
- Note: This email usually arrives within minutes, but can take up to 24 hours during high traffic. Check your Spam/Junk folder if you don’t see it.

Click the Redemption Link: Open the email from Epic Games and click the “Redeem Now” button. This will open a browser window.
Log In: Ensure you are logged into the correct Discord account in your browser.
Enter Payment Info (Required):
- Why? Discord requires a valid credit card or PayPal to activate the trial to prevent bot abuse.
- The Cost: You will likely see a temporary “hold” (e.g., $0.99) to verify the card, which is refunded immediately. You will not be charged the subscription fee yet.
Confirm: Once confirmed, your 1-month Nitro benefits (HD streaming, large uploads, etc.) will start immediately.

The subscription will automatically renew for money after 1 month unless you cancel. You can cancel immediately and keep the perks.

Open Discord and go to User Settings (Gear Icon) > Subscriptions.
Click Cancel Subscription.
Follow the prompts. Your Nitro will remain active until the free month ends, but you won’t be charged when it expires.

If you receive an error message saying the code is invalid or you are ineligible, it is usually for one of these reasons:

You’ve had Nitro before: This offer is only for first-time users or returning users who have not had Nitro in the past 12 months.
You have an active sub: You cannot stack this on top of a current subscription.
Region Lock: The offer is not valid in Russia, Iran, Ukraine, Syria, or North Korea.
