Go to the Department of Social Services Website to check your child’s Medicaid status: https://mydss.mo.gov/ and click on the “Check My Status” button.
Over 90,000 children in Missouri have been dropped from MO HealthNet (Medicaid) since Jan. 2018. Your child may be one of them. Did you get a yellow annual renewal form in the mail in an envelope with the word “time-sensitive?”
It looks like this. Did you complete it and return it? Have you checked to make sure your child has insurance coverage?
If not, your child may no longer have insurance coverage even if you submitted the form.
MO HealthNet/Medicaid includes the following companies – look at your child’s insurance card.
WHAT TO DO:
Go to the Department of Social Services Website to check your child’s Medicaid status: https://mydss.mo.gov/ and click on the “Check My Status” button.
If your child has lost insurance coverage, you MUST reapply online at https://mydss.mo.gov/qualify.
Call the Family Support Division at 1-855-373-9994 if your child has lost insurance / Medicaid coverage or if you need assistance with the online application. You can also go to your child’s medical provider or school and ask to speak with (insert contact name you prefer for your organization) who can help you.
How do I contact my DSS MO?

- Call 1-800-592-6004.
You can locate a member’s DCN by accessing the MO HealthNet Web Portal. You will need the member’s name and date of birth.

FOOD ASSISTANCE
If you are struggling to pay for food for you and your family, help is available through the following programs:
Food Stamp (SNAP) Benefits—A monthly benefit to help low-income households buy food. To get help through SNAP, you will need to apply and complete an interview.

Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)—Provides supplemental food, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and support, and healthcare referrals to income-eligible women, infants, and children up to their 5th birthday. Help is available to mothers and other caregivers.—wic.mo.gov
Food Pantries—There are over 1,000 Food Pantries across the state that provide food to those in need.—feedingmissouri.org
Temporary Assistance Program—Provides cash benefits to lowincome families for the household’s children such as clothing, utilities, and other needs.—mydss.mo.gov/temporary-assistance
Free and Reduced School Meals—Parents and guardians of school-aged children should complete an application to receive free or reduced price meals at school. Sign up at the student’s school for children enrolled in participating Head Start, Pre-K, and K-12 school districts.
