The DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error on Android when trying to access the CEIR Myanmar website usually means your phone cannot find the server’s IP address.

This is common right now because the portal is being flooded with traffic as the March 31, 2026 deadline approaches.

Here is how to fix the error and the latest status of the portal.

1. Fix the DNS Error on Android

Since this is a DNS resolution issue, try these steps in order:

• Change to Private DNS (Most Effective):

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS.

  2. Select Private DNS provider hostname.

  3. Enter dns.google or 1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com.

  4. Save and try reloading the page.

• Clear Chrome DNS Cache:

  1. Open Chrome and type chrome://net-internals/#dns in the address bar.

  2. Tap the Clear host cache button.

• Toggle Airplane Mode:

  • Turn it on for 10 seconds and turn it off. This forces your phone to reconnect to the network and refresh its DNS settings.

3. Why the Urgency?

The system is being implemented to link your IMEI to your SIM and National ID.

• After March 31: Any device not seen on the network will be treated as “new.”

• April 1 Onwards: New/unregistered devices will have a 30-day grace period before being blocked unless a customs tax (reportedly around 35%) is paid.
