To connect to a hotspot like you would connect to any other wifi network, login into Cox hotspot with your Cox User ID and password. Select the CableWiFi or CoxWiFi wireless network.

CONNECTING TO COX HOTSPOTS

1. Just connect to a hotspot like you would connect to any other wifi network.
2. Turn on wifi and search for networks.
3. Select the CableWiFi or CoxWiFi wireless network.
4. Launch your internet browser (if asked, choose Cox from the list of internet providers).
5. Sign in with your Cox User ID and password

1. Enable WiFi on your wireless device and search for available networks.
2. In your list of available networks, select CoxWiFi or CoxWiFi_premium.
3. Launch your Internet browser.
4. Sign in with your Cox User ID and Password.
Note: The Cox User ID is the same as the one you use to sign in to My Account at Cox.com.
Cox customer or a customer in a partnering provider’s service area
1. Enable WiFi on your wireless device and search for available networks.
2. In your list of available networks, select CableWiFi.
3. Launch your Internet browser.
4. Select your Internet provider from the list.
5. Sign in with your Cox User ID and Password.
Cox Business customer but do not have a user ID and password
- If you are a new customer, then access the MyAccount Setup page and follow the directions based on being a new customer.
- If you are an existing customer, then contact your profile administrator.
How do I connect to a hotspot?
Connecting to a hotspot on your mobile device is as easy as searching for a hotspot named “Cox Wifi” or “Cable Wifi” – once your device connects you can open your browser and you will be directed to a login page to use your Cox user ID and password. You only have to do this once every 2 years on your device. After your initial login, your device will connect automatically to any Cox/Cable wifi that is in range.
Cox does not offer a dedicated portable wifi hotspot plan. Cox provides access to more than 4 million wifi hotspots across the nation for all Cox Internet customers at no additional charge.
