There is no official “servers down” alert for Chivalry 2 as of today, December 17, 2025, but there is a spike in user reports regarding “Null Response” and “Invalid Ticket” errors this week.
This is a known stability issue where the “handshake” between your platform (Steam/Epic/PSN/Xbox) and the game servers fails.
Here are the fixes that are currently working for players, ranked by success rate:
1. The “Spam” Fix (Try This First)
It sounds silly, but this is the most consistent fix for the “Login Error” or “Request Timeout” message.
Method: When the error pops up, dismiss it and immediately click “Login” (or press the main menu button) again.
Repeat: Do this 10-20 times rapidly.
Why? The authentication server is timing out; brute-forcing the requests often forces one through.
2. Fix for “Anti-Cheat Authentication” (PC)
If you are seeing an Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) error or a crash on startup:
Verify Files:
Steam: Right-click game > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
Epic: Click the three dots (…) next to the game > Manage > Verify.
Repair EAC:
Go to your game folder (usually
.../Chivalry2/EasyAntiCheat), runEasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe, and select “Repair Service”.

3. Fix for “Unknown Error” (Xbox / PS5)
On consoles, this error usually means you have a “ghost update”—a patch is required but the console hasn’t detected it yet.
Xbox: Go to “My Games & Apps” > Manage > Updates. If nothing shows up, restart your console (hold the power button for 10 seconds) to force a refresh.
PS5: Highlight the game icon > Press Options > Check for Update.
4. DNS Flush (If you are stuck on “Connecting”)
If you are stuck on the initial loading screen:
PC: Open Command Prompt as Admin and type
ipconfig /flushdns.Consoles: Turn off the console, unplug the power cable for 60 seconds (clears the cache), and restart.
