card.tremendous.com Activate | Activate Your Tremendous Card

To activate your Tremendous card, Visit card.tremendous.com. Locate the 20-digit barcode number on the back of your card (not the 16-digit card number on the front).

The steps differ slightly depending on whether you have a physical plastic card or a virtual (digital) card.

1. If you have a Physical Card (Plastic)

You must activate the physical card before you can use it in stores.

  1. Go to the activation site: Visit card.tremendous.com (this usually redirects to reward.tremendous.com/prepaid-cards).

  2. Enter your Card Details:

    • Locate the 20-digit barcode number on the back of your card (not the 16-digit card number on the front).

    • Enter it into the field on the website.

  3. Set a PIN: You will be prompted to create a 4-digit PIN.

  4. Done: The card is now active. You can use it in stores by swiping/inserting and entering your PIN.

2. If you have a Virtual Card (Email/Link)

Virtual cards are typically active immediately upon redemption and do not require a separate activation step.

  • How to use: You just need the 16-digit card number, expiration date, and CVV displayed on your reward page.

  • Online: Select “Credit” at checkout and enter the details.

  • In-Store: You must add the card to Apple Pay or Google Wallet to use it at physical registers (Tap to Pay).

Common Issues & Fixes

  • “Card Declined” at Checkout:

    • Select “Credit”: Even though it is a prepaid card, always select “Credit” on the card reader. “Debit” often fails.

    • Check Balance: Ensure your purchase is less than or equal to your balance. Split payments (paying part cash, part card) work in stores but rarely online.

  • Cannot Find the 20-Digit Code:

    • It is often located on the bottom left of the back of the physical card.

  • Registering a Virtual Card:

    • You can visit card.tremendous.com to “register” your card. This doesn’t “activate” it (it’s already active), but it saves the card so you can easily check your balance later without digging for the original email.
