BSG Launcher Bad Gateway | Most Effective Fix

Bad Gateway (Error 502 or 504) in the Battlestate Games (BSG) Launcher is a backend connection error. It means your launcher reached the server door, but the server didn’t answer (usually because it is overloaded or down for maintenance).

Here is how to bypass the traffic jam and get in.

1. The “Region Hop” (Most Effective Fix)

The login servers in your specific region might be dead, but others are awake.

• If you have a VPN: Connect to a different country (e.g., if you are in the US, try the UK or Germany; if in Europe, try US East). This forces your launcher to handshake with a different authentication server.

• If you don’t have a VPN: You can try using a mobile hotspot for the login process (it assigns a different routing path). Once the launcher opens, switch back to your main Wi-Fi/Ethernet.

2. Change DNS to Cloudflare

Your ISP’s directory might be timing out when trying to find the BSG server.

• The Fix: Change your PC’s DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Primary) and 1.0.0.1 (Secondary).

4. Delete the folders named Temp and Content.
