BF6 Class Challenges Not Working | How to Fix

If your BF6 class challenges are not working (i.e. tracking progress, marking completed, giving rewards, etc.), you’re not alone — this seems to be a common issue many players are reporting.

Here’s how you can try to fix or work around it.

🔍 What others are reporting

  • Players have said their Engineer repair / spot / revive / support / recon class challenges are not tracking correctly. E.g. you repair vehicle health but the progress doesn’t increase or resets.

  • Some players completed a challenge, but in the menus it still shows them as incomplete.

  • Visual progress bars sometimes go backwards, or drop back to 0 or lower even after playing.

  • Reports say “re‑logging” to the game or reloading the session sometimes causes the progress to appear correctly.

⚠️ Why this might be happening (potential causes)

Here are possible reasons or bugs causing this:

  1. UI/Visual bugs

    • The game doesn’t always update the UI immediately; sometimes what you’re seeing is just outdated display. The back end might have the correct data, but the front‑end fails to show it until a refresh or relog.

  2. Challenge unlock / class unlock prerequisites

    • Some “class” assignments / challenges are locked until you reach a certain player rank (e.g. Rank 20) or fulfill certain conditions. If you haven’t unlocked them, even if you do actions for those challenges, they won’t track.

  3. Mode‑specific / match type restrictions

    • Some challenges may only count in certain modes (PvP vs PvE / co‑op vs bot matches). If you’re playing a mode that doesn’t count, the progress won’t be registered.

  4. Server / Sync / Backend Issues

    • Sometimes the problem is due to server lag, data sync issues, or bugs in how progress is saved back to your EA account. If data doesn’t synchronize properly, you might see lost or unregistered progress.

  5. Beta vs Full Release Differences

    • A lot of these reports are from beta versions (open beta, early access). Beta builds often have bugs that are fixed later. If you’re still in a test period (or playing patch versions), you might be hit by issues that are under development.

🛠️ What you can try to fix / work around

Here are steps that have helped some players, or might help you:

Action

Why it might help

Restart the game (or console/PC)Forces a sync and refresh of progress display.
Log out and log back inSame as above, can force UI/account sync.
Make sure you’ve reached the required rank / unlocked the class challengeIf not unlocked, your progress won’t count. Check class / rank unlock requirements.
Play in modes that are known to count (check what mode the challenge requires)If challenge requires PvP, or only counts in certain match types, make sure you’re in those. Also avoid modes which are known not to count if stated.
Avoid very short matches, or quitting earlySometimes challenge progress isn’t recorded if match ends unusually or you leave early.
Patience / give it timeOn some occasions, progress “catches up” after some matches or after some time due to server sync delays.
Check for updates / patchesThe developers are aware of many of these issues. Patches often fix tracking bugs.
Contact EA / DICE Support if the challenge still doesn’t mark complete despite fulfilling requirements and using proper modes. Provide screenshots / video evidence of doing the actions, and which platform you’re on.

No official permanent fix has been released yet, but the above suggestions can help mitigate the issue temporarily until an update arrives to resolve these bugs fully.
