Baby Brezza E5 Error | Easy Fix

The E5 error on a Baby Brezza Formula Pro typically means there is an issue with dispensing water — often caused by a clogged or misaligned water tank, scale buildup, or sensor malfunction.

🔧 E5 Error — What It Means

The E5 error specifically refers to:

“Water heating error” or “water not dispensing correctly”

Usually, this is caused by:

  • Improper placement of the water tank

  • Mineral buildup from hard water

  • A clogged heating element or sensor

  • Using the wrong type of water (not distilled or filtered)

✅ How to Fix the Baby Brezza E5 Error

1. Power Cycle the Machine

  • Turn off the unit and unplug it for 2 minutes

  • Plug it back in and restart — sometimes resets the sensor

2. Check Water Tank Placement

  • Remove the water tank, empty it, and re-seat it firmly back into place

  • Ensure it clicks into place and the bottom valve is not stuck or misaligned

3. Clean the Machine Thoroughly

Follow Baby Brezza’s cleaning steps:

  • Descale the water system using white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio)

    • Fill tank with the mixture

    • Run several water-only cycles (without formula) to flush the lines

    • Then run multiple plain water cycles to rinse

  • Clean the mixing funnel, powder container, and any removable parts

4. Use Distilled Water Only

Hard water can cause calcium/mineral buildup and interfere with the sensors. Using distilled water helps avoid this and extends the machine’s life.

5. Update Firmware (if applicable)

Some Formula Pro Advanced models allow for firmware updates. Check the Baby Brezza website for your model and any update instructions.
