Streamotion also operates international streaming services, WatchAFL and WatchNRL. These services are available to Aussies living abroad or away on holiday and don’t want to miss a game.

When you sign up to Kayo Sports or Binge, you automatically become a Streamotion customer. Your account details are stored at a Streamotion level, not a specific product level. Therefore, your Kayo Sports or Binge subscription is linked to Streamotion.

Every now and then you may receive an error message whilst trying to use Kayo.
In the event you do experience one of these, to help you get back watching, we’ve created a list of these messages, what they mean and the best way to resolve them.
Note: If you are using a computer, the easiest way to search for your error message is by using the ‘search within article’ box at the bottom of the page. If you are using a mobile device, simply scroll down through the errors to find it, they are in alphabetical order for your ease.
Error Message Troubleshooting Steps
Access Denied | This is normally caused by a VPN being used on your network or device or you being outside of Australia. It can also be due to using an incompatible device or browser. |

Authentication Error
For security purposes our reset password link will expire after 3 days, if this is the case:
- Please request a new password reset email here
- Alternatively, if you have forgotten your password, select ‘Forgot password’ beneath the Sign In button here
If you have requested multiple reset password links, all previous links will expire automatically even if less than 3 days old. If this is the case:
- Use the reset password link in your most recent email
Browser not supported
This will occur when you are trying to stream Kayo on a browser that is not compatible OR your browser needs to be updated.
Common device/browser:
- Any incompatible browser

Error 9999
This will occur when there is an issue with the device or browser. It can also be caused by the use of a VPN.

Error 2999
This will occur when there is an issue with the device or browser. It can also be caused by the use of a VPN.

Error 1006
This will occur when your device has built up some cache and it needs clearing.
Log out then log back into your account on the device you’re using

Error 008
This occurs when the app on your TV device needs rebooting or you’ve been watching a stream for an extended period of time.
- Reboot your device by disconnecting it from the power source and the reconnecting it
- Ensure that you’re using one of our compatible devices or browsers

Error code N1
Can occur when you are using a VPN or when you’re having an issue accessing the app or website on your device.

Exceed Max Streams
It looks like you have reached the maximum number of simultaneous streams available on your subscription.
To get back in the game, simply cease streaming on at least one device or upgrade your subscription.
Get Full Access
This will occur if you are attempting to play content only available via a paid subscription without being logged into an account with Full Access.
- You will need to purchase a Kayo subscription to gain access to our entire content library

HTTP 403
This will occur when you are using an outdated version of Google Chrome.
Update your Google Chrome browser be following these steps:
- On your computer, open Google Chrome
- At the top right, click the three vertical dots
- Click Update Google Chrome
- Click Relaunch
Media playback troubles have been detected
It seems like your internet connection is not working smoothly
- Try checking your network speed by clicking here to ensure you’re getting enough speed to your stream
- Reboot your modem to give it a kick-start
- You can also check that you’re using a compatible device or browser
Mobile already in use
This means you are trying to sign up with a mobile that is linked to another Streamotion account.
- A mobile number can only be linked to one Streamotion account
- If your mobile is already in use, enter the login credentials linked to that mobile here
- Now follow the prompts to resubscribe
Oops, something went wrong
The cache has built up on your device and needs a quick reboot!

Sorry, our products are only available to customers within Australia
It looks like you’re either outside of Australia or you’re using a VPN.
- If you’re in Australia and using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), it may be preventing you from accessing Kayo. Disable your VPN and get in the game: Take a look here to find out how to do so!
NOTE: Depending on your VPN provider, you may need to whitelist Kayo from your VPN by contacting your provider - If you’re outside Australia, due to licensing rights with our global partners, you have to be in Australia to watch sports on Kayo.
