Aussie Broadband Outages | Current Scheduled Maintenance

As of 9:08 PM AEDT on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, there are no widespread “red alert” outages reported for the Aussie Broadband network. However, there is major planned maintenance starting shortly that may be affecting your service.

🛠️ Current Scheduled Maintenance (Today)

A significant maintenance window is currently active for Western Australia:

  • Location: Pinjarra (NBN POI 6PNJ)

  • Time: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM AEDT (Starting in about 20 minutes).

  • Impact: A fibre cable cutover is expected to cause a total outage for up to 7 hours for users in this region.

📍 Localized “Glitches” & Reports

  • NBN Backhaul: While the core Aussie Broadband network is stable, there have been some minor reports of slow speeds in Queensland and parts of Victoria earlier today due to third-party NBN backhaul work.

  • The “92%” Rule: If you are trying to use the MyAussie app or play games like Brawl Stars (which is also under maintenance right now) and getting stuck, it is likely an app-specific issue rather than your actual internet connection.

🔍 How to Check Your Specific Line

If your internet is currently down and you are not in the Pinjarra area:

  1. Check the Official Status Page: Visit Aussie Broadband’s Status Map.

  2. The “MyAussie” Test: Open the MyAussie app and use the “Service Test” button. This will perform a real-time line test and tell you if the fault is with your modem, the NBN box, or the network itself.

  3. Power Cycle: If your NBN box has a “Connection” or “Optical” light that is red or flashing, turn the power off for full 2 minutes before restarting.
