If the myAT&T app is not working for you, it is likely due to a corrupted cache file (common after updates) or a login sync issue. Here is the step-by-step fix, starting with the solution that works for most people.
1. The “Clean Reinstall” (Most Likely Fix)
Simply deleting the app often isn’t enough because “junk” data stays saved on your phone. You need to clear it out.
For Android Users:
Go to Settings > Apps > myAT&T.
Tap Storage.
Tap Clear Data (or Clear Storage) AND Clear Cache.
Uninstall the app.
Restart your phone.
Reinstall from the Google Play Store and try logging in.
For iPhone (iOS) Users:
Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
Scroll down to find myAT&T.
Tap Delete App (Do not choose “Offload App”—you want to delete the data).
Restart your iPhone.
Reinstall from the App Store.
2. Check for a Service Outage
Sometimes the app is fine, but the AT&T servers are down.
How to check: Visit the AT&T Outage Detection Page on a mobile browser (using WiFi if your cellular data is acting up).
Note: If you see a “System Maintenance” error in the app, this usually means their servers are temporarily offline for updates. Wait 2 hours and try again.

3. Reset Your Password (Even if you know it)
If the app crashes immediately after you enter your password or FaceID, your login token might be “stuck.”
Go to the AT&T Website in a browser (Chrome/Safari).
Select “Forgot Password” and reset it.
Wait 5 minutes for the system to update.
Open the app and log in with the new password. This forces the app to re-sync your account data.
4. Disable “ActiveArmor” or VPNs
If you use the AT&T ActiveArmor app or a third-party VPN:
These can sometimes block the myAT&T app from connecting to the server for security reasons.
Try this: Turn off your VPN or temporarily disable ActiveArmor, then try opening the myAT&T app again.
Quick Workaround:
If you need to pay a bill or check data usage right now and the app won’t load, log in directly at att.com/myatt through your phone’s web browser. It has almost all the same features as the app.
