ARC Raiders Online Connection Error ARRT0003 | Most Common Fix

In ARC Raiders, Error Code ARRT0003 indicates an “Online Connection Error.” It specifically means your game client cannot establish a stable connection to Embark Studios’ backend services, often failing during the “Connecting to Online Services” or anti-cheat verification phase.

Because ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter that requires a constant connection, even a micro-drop in internet stability or a blocked port will trigger this error and boot you to the title screen.

Here is the step-by-step troubleshooting guide to fix ARRT0003.

1. The “Anti-Cheat” Connection Fix (Most Common)

This error often occurs because the game’s anti-cheat software (Easy Anti-Cheat) is being blocked by your PC’s security settings, preventing the handshake with the server.

  • Allow through Firewall:

    1. Press Windows Key and type “Allow an app through Windows Firewall.”

    2. Click Change Settings (you may need admin rights).

    3. Scroll down and find ARC Raiders. Ensure both “Private” and “Public” boxes are checked.

    4. If you don’t see it, click “Allow another app”, browse to your game installation folder, and select ArcRaiders.exe.

  • Disable VPN/Proxy: The game’s security often flags VPN IPs as suspicious. Turn off any VPN or proxy software completely before launching.

2. Flush Your DNS Resolver

Corrupted network cache is a frequent cause of ARRT0003.

  1. Press Windows Key, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.

  2. Type the following commands one by one, pressing Enter after each:

    DOS
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /registerdns
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    netsh winsock reset

  3. Restart your computer and try launching the game again.

3. Verify Game Files

If the anti-cheat files are corrupted, the server will reject your connection immediately.

  • On Steam:

    1. Right-click ARC Raiders in your Library.

    2. Select Properties > Installed Files.

    3. Click Verify integrity of game files.

  • On Console (PS5/Xbox): There is no direct “verify” button, but a full restart of the console (power cycle) often clears the temporary cache causing the issue.

4. Check for “Shadow Bans” or Server Outages

  • Server Status: Check the official ARC Raiders Discord or their Twitter/X page. If the servers are down for maintenance, everyone gets ARRT0003.

  • Account Issues: If you constantly get this error while friends can play, check your email. In rare cases, this error code is used as a generic “access denied” message if an account has been flagged or suspended.

5. Change DNS Servers (Consoles & PC)

If your ISP’s default routing is poor, switching to Google or Cloudflare DNS can bypass the connection block.

  • Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

  • Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

Summary: If the servers are online, the issue is almost certainly your Firewall/Anti-Virus blocking the game’s connection to the authentication server. Fix that, and you should be able to log in.
