ARC Raiders Anti Cheat Error | Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) Not Installed

The “Anti-Cheat Integrity” or “Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) Not Installed” error is the most common issue in ARC Raiders right now. It usually happens because the anti-cheat service gets “stuck” running from a previous session or fails its handshake with the server.

Since ARC Raiders uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), here are the fixes ranked by what is currently working best for the community.

1. The “.SYS File” Fix (Most Successful)

This forces the anti-cheat to download a fresh version of its driver.

  1. Close the game and Steam completely.

  2. Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS

  3. Find the file named EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys and DELETE it.

    • Note: Do not delete the whole folder yet, just that specific .sys file.

  4. Launch the game. It will notice the missing file and auto-reinstall a clean version on startup.

2. Repair the Service Manually

If deleting the file doesn’t work, the service itself might be broken.

  1. Go to your ARC Raiders installation folder (Right-click game in Steam > Manage > Browse Local Files).

  2. Open the EasyAntiCheat folder.

  3. Right-click EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe and select Run as Administrator.

  4. You may see a “Repair” button. Click it. If not, select “Uninstall” and then immediately “Install.”

3. Check for “Conflict” Software

EAC is very aggressive in ARC Raiders and will crash if it detects “hooks” from other programs.

  • RGB Software: Turn off iCue, Razer Synapse, or MSI Mystic Light temporarily.

  • Overlays: Disable Discord Overlay and Nvidia GeForce Overlay in their respective settings.

  • Other Games: Ensure you don’t have another EAC game (like Fortnite, Apex Legends, or The Finals) running in the background. They cannot run simultaneously.

4. The “Nuclear” Clean Install

If you are getting Error Code 30005 specifically, you need to scrub the files:

  1. Uninstall ARC Raiders.

  2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86) and manually delete the EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder.

  3. Go to %appdata% (type this in your Windows search bar) and delete any ARC Raiders or Embark Studios folders.

  4. Restart your PC and reinstall the game.
