A support representative from Apple may request that you share your screen when you contact for assistance so that they may view your screen.

The consultant assures you that all they will do is observe your screen; they won’t run any apps or access any of your computer’s data. Sharing your screen with Apple support is thus completely safe.

The instructions for sharing your screen are as follows:

1. Start a browser and navigate to https://ara.apple.com. A session key form appears, which you may see.

2. Attend for the adviser to provide a session key. After that, input your session key and press “submit.” You observe a download file manifesting.

3. Store the downloaded file in a temporary location. then execute it. A screen with terms and conditions appears.

4. Agree to the terms and conditions, then move forward. Your advisor’s texts appear in a chat box that appears on your screen.

5. Your screen also sports a red arrow indicating that it is currently shared.

6. Now that the adviser can see your screen, he or she can direct you to the location of your issue by using the red arrow as a pointer.

7. Remember to close the chat window after your support session is finished. The screen-sharing application will instantly end and be deleted from your computer.

Apple Care

Screen sharing is not required by Apple and you can end the session at any time. After you download the application, Apple Support will be able to see your screen, but cannot access your files or control your computer. If there is anything that you don’t want Apple to see on your screen, remove it from view before your session begins. This session will be recorded for quality purposes.
