As of Monday, December 1, 2025, there are no major widespread power outages reported for Ameren. Most indicators show normal operations with only a small number of scattered outages (typically fewer than 500 customers affected across both Illinois and Missouri).
If your power is out, it is likely a localized issue affecting just your home or neighborhood (blown fuse, downed line, or transformer issue).
1. Check the Official Outage Map
The fastest way to see if your area is affected is to check the live map for your specific region:

3. Troubleshooting Steps (If neighbors have power)
If your neighbors have lights but you don’t, check your circuit breakers or fuse box.
Go to your breaker panel.
Look for a “Main” breaker (usually at the top).
If it is in the “OFF” or middle “TRIPPED” position, flip it firmly to OFF and then back to ON.
