To activate AMC+, the process depends entirely on how you subscribed. Most login issues happen because users try to use the main AMC+ app when they actually subscribed through a third-party “Channel” (like Amazon or Apple TV) or a cable provider that doesn’t support the app login.

1. If You Have a Cable/TV Provider (Spectrum, DISH, etc.)
If AMC+ is part of your cable package (e.g., Spectrum TV Select) or you added it to your satellite plan:
Go to the specific Provider URL: Visit amcplus.com/provideractivate on your computer or phone.
Enter the Code: Type the activation code displayed on your TV screen.
Log In: You will be redirected to your TV provider’s login page (e.g., Spectrum, DISH). Sign in with your username and password for that provider.
Critical Note for Xfinity, DIRECTV & YouTube TV Users:
DIRECTV & YouTube TV: You likely cannot use the AMC+ app. You must watch AMC+ content inside the DIRECTV or YouTube TV app (or On Demand menu). Your credentials will not work on the standalone AMC+ app.
Xfinity: If you bought the “AMC+ On Demand” package, you must watch via your Xfinity set-top box On Demand menu or Xfinity Stream app. You cannot log into the separate AMC+ app unless you pay for a separate subscription.
2. If You Subscribed Directly (amcplus.com)
If you pay AMC directly via their website:
Open the App: Open the AMC+ app on your Smart TV, Roku, or Fire Stick.
Select “Sign In”: Do not click “Subscribe” or “Start Free Trial.” Look for a Sign In option (often at the bottom or in a “Settings” menu).
Get the Code: The screen will display a 6-digit code.
Activate: On your phone or computer, go to amcplus.com/activate.
Enter Details: Enter your email, password, and the code from your TV.
3. If You Subscribed via a “Channel” (Amazon, Apple, Roku)
If you subscribed to AMC+ as an “add-on” inside another app, you cannot use the AMC+ app.
Amazon Prime Video: Open the Prime Video app. Find the “My Subscriptions” or “Channels” row. Click the AMC+ icon there.
Apple TV Channels: Open the Apple TV app (not the AMC+ app). Scroll down to “My Channels” and select AMC+.
The Roku Channel: Open The Roku Channel app. Find “Premium Subscriptions” and select AMC+.
Where do I get my Charter credentials?
Your credentials are the username and password you use to log in when viewing content or account information on your TV provider’s website or apps. If you’re not sure or you need to reset your password, please contact your TV provider directly.
To sign in with Charter (Spectrum), you need:
- An account with that provider that includes AMC+ as an add-on to your TV provider. AMC+ is not the same as the regular AMC channel that is included in most basic packages. AMC+ is an optional add-on.

- If you are unable to sign in, contact your TV provider to reset your credentials.

If you have Roku at your home and want to activate AMC on your Roku then you need to follow the steps given below:
- Switch on your Roku device and go to the Roku home screen
