Activate New SIM Card ATT

To activate your new ATT SIM Card, Insert the SIM card into your device. You might be prompted to enter your SIM card’s ICCID number (found on the SIM card packaging).

Here’s how to activate your AT&T SIM card, depending on whether it’s a physical SIM or an eSIM:

Physical SIM Card

  • New Phone: If you bought a new phone with AT&T Prepaid, the SIM card is usually pre-installed. Just turn on the device and follow the prompts.
  • Existing or Unlocked Phone:
    • Insert the SIM card into your device.
    • Turn on your phone.
    • You might be prompted to enter your SIM card’s ICCID number (found on the SIM card packaging).
    • Follow any on-screen instructions to activate your service.
    • If prompted, pay for your first month of service.

eSIM

  • New Phone: Your phone will guide you through the eSIM download process during the initial setup.
  • Existing or Unlocked Phone:
    • Go to Settings on your phone.
    • Look for an option like “Cellular” or “Mobile Data“.
    • Select “Add Cellular Plan” or “Add Data Plan“.
    • Scan the QR code on your eSIM activation card.
    • Follow the prompts to install and activate the eSIM.
