Activating your Apple Card is a straightforward process that is done through the Wallet app on your iPhone. To activate your Apple Card, it depends on whether you have the physical titanium card or you’re using the digital card only via Apple Wallet.
Here’s how to do both:
✅ 1. Activating the Apple Card (Digital)
If you applied and were approved, your digital Apple Card is already active in your Apple Wallet — no further activation needed.
You can start using it immediately with:
Apple Pay (in stores or online)
Online card number for websites (found in Wallet > Apple Card > ⋯ > Card Information)
✅ 2. Activating the Physical Titanium Card
Once you receive your physical Apple Card by mail, follow these steps:
🔹 If you have an iPhone with NFC (iPhone XS or later):
Open the Apple Card envelope — don’t throw it away.
Hold your iPhone near the envelope — it contains an NFC tag.
A screen will pop up automatically: 👉 Tap Activate Card.
Done — your titanium card is now ready for use.
🔹 Alternative Method (manual):
If the envelope’s NFC tag doesn’t work:
Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Tap your Apple Card.
Tap the three dots (•••) in the top right.
Tap Activate Physical Card.
Follow the prompts (it might ask for the packaging number or your Apple ID password).

🚫 If Activation Fails
Try this:
Make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS.
Restart your iPhone.
Ensure NFC is turned on (Settings > General > NFC).
Try the manual activation steps above.
If still not working:
Call Apple Support directly: [1‑800‑MY‑APPLE (1‑800‑692‑7753)]
Or contact Goldman Sachs support for Apple Card inside the Wallet app (go to Apple Card > ⋯ > Message).
🔒 Tips After Activation

You can request a card number for online purchases.
Review Daily Cash and spending by category directly in Wallet.
