You can activate your American Express Serve Card through one of two primary methods: online or by phone.

If you have a American Express SERVE® Card (prepaid/reloadable), here are the steps to activate it online or by phone, plus key things to know.

✅ How to activate online

1. Visit the official SERVE activation page: log in or register at serve.com (or the link included in the email you received) and go to “Activate Card”.

2. Enter your card number and the 3‑digit security code (CSC) on the back of the card.

3. You may have to provide your date of birth, Social Security Number, create a password and PIN.

4. Once completed, the card should be active and ready for use anywhere American Express cards are accepted.

For the SERVE American Express Prepaid Debit Account:

• Call 1‑800‑954‑0559 in the U.S.

• Follow the automated prompts: you’ll enter your card number, and possibly your personal info to verify identity, then you’ll be able to activate.

🔒 Setting or changing the PIN

• During activation (especially online) you’ll typically be asked to choose a 4‑digit PIN.

• If you already have an account and want to change your PIN: log into your account and check the “Manage Card PIN” section (for some Amex products) or call customer service. For example: > “Simply go to the ‘Account’ tab and then select ‘Manage Card PIN’ … Tap ‘Unlock PIN’”

📝 Things to watch / important caveats

• Make sure you are on the official SERVE/American Express website and not a look‑alike.

• Do not share your PIN, full SSN, or sensitive personal info in places you don’t trust.
