You can vote for your favorite contestants on Dancing with the Stars through ABC’s official voting system, either online or via text, but only during the live broadcast of the show.
📅 When voting is open
Voting opens when the live episode broadcasts — usually 8:00 p.m. ET (Eastern Time) for the East/Central zones.
Voting closes shortly after the final dance of the night, typically during the last commercial break.
It’s only allowed during the initial live simulcast (not during replays or delayed streaming).
✅ Who can vote / where
You must be 18 years or older.
You need to be in the U.S., its territories, or Canada (for online voting).
SMS voting is available only to U.S. wireless carriers and U.S. territories. Canada is not included for SMS voting.
🛠️ How to vote
1. Online via ABC / DWTS website
Go to dwtsvote.abc.com during the voting window.
Log in or create an ABC / Disney (or compatible) account.
Select your favorite couple(s) and allocate your votes.
Click “Save Votes” to lock them in. You can change your votes until the window closes.
2. Via SMS (text message)
During the live broadcast window, text the contestant’s keyword (usually their first name) to 21523.
Each text counts as one vote.

You can cast up to 10 votes per couple per voting method (so 10 via online + 10 via SMS).
That means, in total, a single couple can receive up to 20 votes from you (if you use both methods).
