Snapchat has been restored to full functionality after a brief outage during which users were unable to post or send messages.

As many users reported they couldn’t successfully post storey updates or send messages on the service for a few hours on Wednesday morning, Snap Streaks were put in jeopardy The Snapchat Support Twitter account confirmed the problems in a tweet and advised users to “hold tight, we’re looking into it!”

It was not immediately clear what caused the problem, but it does not appear to be a Facebook-level issue. The app itself was mostly functional for some of us, and you might not have noticed anything amiss right away if you weren’t posting anything. Snapchat’s app wasn’t crashing all the time either.
