The code #662# is a real spam call blocking feature offered by many U.S. mobile carriers, including T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and some others. It’s also known as “Scam Block” activation.
✅ What #662# Does
-
Enables Scam Block on your line — this filters or blocks known spam, robocalls, and scam calls before they reach your phone.
-
When activated, T-Mobile (or the carrier) automatically screens calls and blocks likely scam calls at the network level.
📱 How to Use It
-
To turn on Scam Block:
Dial#662#→ Press call
You’ll get a confirmation text saying it’s been activated. -
To turn off Scam Block:
Dial#632#→ Press call -
To check if it’s on or off:
Dial#787#→ Press call
🧠 Notes:
-
Scam Block is free for T-Mobile customers.
-
It works best when paired with Scam Shield (T-Mobile’s call management app).
-
It doesn’t block all spam perfectly, but it helps reduce the worst offenders (like IRS scams, fake Amazon calls, etc.).
-
You can still get legit unknown calls (e.g., from doctors or job recruiters), but some might get labeled “Scam Likely.”
