2002 Voter List Search by Name | Steps to Find Your Details

To search for your name in the 2002 Voter List (Last SIR), you can use the Election Commission’s special legacy search tool. This is specifically designed to help you find the “Part No.” and “Serial No.” required for the current enumeration form.

Here are the steps to find your details:

Method 1: Search by Name (Easiest)

  1. Go to the official Election Commission of India Voters Portal.

  2. Look for the tab or link labeled “Search your name in Last SIR” (sometimes under “Services”).

  3. Click on “Search by Elector Details”.

  4. Fill in the details as they were in 2002:

    • State: Select your state (e.g., West Bengal).

    • District: Select the district where you lived in 2002.

    • Name: Enter your name (try different spellings if it doesn’t show up).

    • Relative’s Name: Enter your father’s or husband’s name.

    • Age: Enter your approximate age in 2002.

  5. Click Search: If found, it will show your Part No. and Serial No.

Method 2: Search by Old EPIC Number

If you have an old Voter ID card issued before 2003:

  1. On the same “Search your name in Last SIR” page, select “Search by EPIC”.

  2. Enter the Old EPIC Number exactly as it appears on the old card.

  3. This is usually more accurate than a name search.

Method 3: Download the PDF (If Name Search Fails)

Spelling mistakes in the 2002 data are very common (e.g., “Maneesh” vs “Manish”), so the name search might fail even if you are on the list.

  1. Select “Search by State” (instead of Elector Details).

  2. Choose your District and Assembly Constituency (AC) from 2002.

  3. This will typically allow you to view or download the PDF of the Final Roll 2002.

  4. You will have to manually scroll through the list for your polling station area to find your name.

What if I wasn’t a voter in 2002?

If you were under 18 in 2002, you must search for your parent’s name (Father or Mother) using the steps above. You will use their Part and Serial Number to establish your “Legacy Linkage” on the form.
