Web Handler

WEB HANDLER is an enhanced offline web browser. This project is done as a part of
the B-Tech course, Computer Science and Engineering. The primary aim of the proposed project is to attain a faster browsing facility by utilizing offline-browsing capabilities.Whether a user browse the web for research, work, or fun, there's nothing worse than having to wait for page after page to load in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator (or in other popular browsers). The problem is they will only load one page at a time. So for viewing a large website with a thousand pages, the user have to click the mouse a thousand times and choose a directory/folder a thousands times when he/she wants to save each file and end up spending a lot of time waiting around and not enough time reading or viewing pages on the Internet. But now, with this software the user can Add a file under a module the file is backed up, and made available to other people. By using this project, the various links in the different levels of a web site can be downloaded and saved to the hard disk of the local system in one click. This can avoid the tedious work of saving each page separately. An online web browser is also attached to this project making this project a dual utility software. The web pages are stored in the hard disk and retrieved with the help of XML files. Even though the project suffers from storage space constraints, it can prove very useful for downloading regularly used or browsed sites. This provides the best history capabilities.
